Medicare Enrollment Information

Enrollment in Medicare Advantage Plans and Medicare Prescription Drug Plans is generally limited to certain times of the year unless you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) or are within your Medicare Initial Enrollment Period (IEP).

The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) runs from October 15 through December 7 each year. During AEP, eligible Medicare beneficiaries may review their current coverage and, if they choose, enroll in, change, or disenroll from a Medicare Advantage Plan or Medicare Prescription Drug Plan for the upcoming plan year.

The Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (OEP) runs from January 1 through March 31 each year. During OEP, individuals currently enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan may make one eligible plan change in accordance with Medicare rules.
